What Is Aviculture?
Aviculture is the keeping and rearing of birds. It includes the people who care for, breed, study, exhibit, and educate others about birds. Since 1927, the Avicultural Society of America has supported responsible aviculture by bringing together bird owners, breeders, conservationists, educators, and enthusiasts who share a commitment to proper care, lifelong learning, and the preservation of avian knowledge.
The Avicultural Bulletin
For generations, ASA’s Avicultural Bulletin has shared articles, research, event updates, species features, and practical knowledge from the avicultural community. Members receive access to this long-running publication as part of ASA’s commitment to education and responsible birdkeeping.
ASA Annual Conference
Each year, ASA brings aviculturists, bird enthusiasts, speakers, vendors, and conservation-minded organizations together for education, fellowship, and community. The annual conference is a place to learn, connect, and celebrate aviculture.
